Planning IT Learning Resources

Outline

The workshop discusses the many planning tasks required before IT LEARNING RESOURCE production should commence. We will look at relevant design processes, proposal preparation, project budgeting and funding, content development issues, legal issues and sources of ongoing support.
Participants will start to develop a project proposal, a project budget and the content development for their ideas.

ObjectivesBy the completion of the session participants should be able to:

  1. understand the activities involved in media project proposal, media production & educational design processes
  2. develop a proposal for the funding of a learning resource
  3. develop a budget for the production of a learning resource
  4. develop the content for a learning resource
  5. understand the legal issues involved with the design of learning resources.

Anticipated audience

This workshop should be of interest to staff developers and all educators who want to develop IT learning resources for their courses.
