Objectives/Outcomes:

This workshop will explore the effective design, development, evaluation and implementation of information and communication technologies in higher education, with emphasis on the following questions:
  • What has the introduction of information technologies contributed to student learning in higher education?
  • How do practitioners decide to use information technology in their teaching, and choose particular technologies?
  • How does a teacher learn to use and develop information technology for teaching? How should a teacher learn it?
  • How does a teacher evaluate the improvement of student learning stimulated by information technology? How should a teacher evaluate it?

    These questions will be examined within the context of a national study on the contribution of information technology projects to university learning and on relevant literature.
