Awards

The ascilite awards will be presented at the annual ascilite Conference Opening Ceremony in one of two categories: ascilite Life Member Award or ascilite Fellow Award.

ascilite Life Member Award

The ascilite Life Member Award is an honorary award that recognises sustained and admirable service of an ascilite member to the society. The Life Member Award entitles the recipient to full ascilite membership for life. ascilite members can access the Life Member Award nomination form from the ascilite member’s community hub. The deadline for nominations for the ascilite Life Member Award is Monday 19th October 2009.

ascilite Fellow Award

The ascilite Fellow Award aims to recognise the outstanding contributions of ascilite members in the exemplary use of technologies for teaching and learning in tertiary education. The nature of these contributions can be:

• Professional mentoring that encourages and supports the exemplary use of technologies for teaching and learning in tertiary education.
• Development, application or implementation of exemplary technologies for teaching and learning in tertiary education.
• Innovations in practice in the exemplary use of technologies for teaching and learning in tertiary education.
• Quality pure and applied research in the use of technologies for teaching and learning in tertiary education.

ascilite members can access the ascilite Fellow Award nomination form from the ascilite member’s community hub. The deadline for nominations for the ascilite Fellow Award is Wednesday 11th November 2009.
